Let me share the story of our church in Chomutov with you. Thanks be to God and His many servants for allowing us to come to this moment. At the turn of the millennium, we began a church planting project in Chomutov. Because of this, new churches have been planted in five cities in Northwestern Bohemia. These are now prospering and reaching out to other towns and villages in our beautiful Czech lands. In 2010, we moved from renting facilities into a building we purchased a few years later. The extensive missionary outreach in many cities has been a wonderful experience for the mother church in Chomutov but also exhausting. We underwent a revitalization and gained new strength. We have strengthened our church's leadership, spiritual life, relationships, discipleship, ministry, and mission. With God's blessing, the ministry to families has grown, and we have added quite a few young people who are experiencing spiritual transformation. They are an emerging generation that is taking on more and more responsibility. We are pleased about this and are without fear of dying out.We are not a large church yet, but we are a church that is healthy (if I may be so bold as to say so) and ready for further growth. Worship and ministry to families, young adults, youth, and children are growing, and new people are coming and seeking God. More and more people from our town are interested in the Sunday services and the activities during the week – so many that we no longer have anywhere to put them anymore. We have well over 90 people in the main room of the current space, which seats about 70, 80 max, and the interest continues to grow. It's not a specific group but a representative sample that spans generations, education, ethnic groups, employment, and the interests of people who come primarily from Chomutov and the surrounding areas. In other words, space is currently our main limitation. We have faith, and we have generous people. We are maturing into spiritual parents and giving birth to spiritual children.
